The movie shows how SURE_REACH exploits motor redundancy in some movements tasks:
-
1.The model assumes that motor learning may be based on any kind of movements.
-
2.Movements to the same (hand-)target terminate in postures that are close to the posture before movement onset. This reduces trajectory length and movement time.
-
3.Besides a hand-target, additional kinematic („move to target and flex elbow“) or motor constraints („move to target but don‘t move wrist“) can be fulfilled.
-
4.Obstacles may be avoided.
-
5.One movements can even incorporate the anticipated requirements of the next movement.
