International Congress „Transport Safety“
Since 2005 the Deutsche Bahn AG / DB Training organises in cooperation with the Centre for Traffic Sciences at the University of Würzburg an annual International Congress on “Transport Safety”. During this congress the different approaches to transport safety in times of international cooperation, liberalisation and new technologies are discussed.
The main objective of the two day congress is that representatives with scientific and applied background as well as responsible persons of several transport areas come together and give one another during lectures and discussions input for the daily work.
The Centre for Traffic Sciences is responsible for the scientific conceptualisation of the congress, the selection of the scientific topics, and the contacting of excellent speakers.
The main topics of the congress vary every year – regarding the continuous evolution of the transport sector and the needs of the participants. Some examples:
- Simulation in selection, education, and training
- Communication in different transportation areas
- Human factors
- Safety management system
- Accident investigation and analysis
- Occupational medicine
The next congress will be held in Fulda on 7-8 March 2007.
