    Relationships between perception and action

    Wladimir Kirsch

    The focus of this research is on how motor processes contribute to the perception of environment and of own body. Visual and body perception are usually considered to be determined by optical, ocular-motor and somatosensory information respectively. Some evidence, however, suggests that the way we act in a particular situation affects the way we perceive the environment and the body in this situation. We trace the origin of these motor effects under diverse context conditions. This work is supported by the German Research Council (DFG).
