Presentation at the "Bavarian Day of Excellent Teaching"
04/01/2025Dr. Isabel Neumann and Sabrina Gado will present the WueDive-funded project "Simulation of Psychotherapeutic Interactions in VR Using AI" at the Bavarian Day of Excellent Teaching 2025 (german: „Bayerischen Tag der guten Lehre 2025“).
At the Bavarian Day of Excellent Teaching 2025, Dr. Isabel Neumann and Sabrina Gado presented the project "Simulation of Psychotherapeutic Interactions in VR Using AI." The project explores how generative artificial intelligence (AI) combined with virtual reality (VR) can create realistic training opportunities for aspiring psychotherapists.
By utilizing AI-driven virtual conversation partners, students in the Master's program Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, and Clinical Neurosciences can engage in interactive scenarios to practice therapeutic conversations. This approach enables hands-on and flexible learning beyond traditional teaching methods.
The Bavarian Day of Excellent Teaching 2025 is organized by the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and the Arts under the theme "The Future of Higher Education." Through discussions, presentations, and award ceremonies, the event showcases projects that contribute to shaping the higher education landscape of tomorrow.
