The Marcusstraße is located downtown, within walking distance to Würzburg main train station (see below).
If you would like to visit us by train you will get travel information by the Reiseauskunft of the Deutsche Bahn AG.
From Frankfurt International Airport it takes about one hour to drive to Würzburg. There is, however, also a fast train connection from the Airport to Würzburg main station.
By train
When arriving at Würzburg main station, walk straight across the station forecourt (the fountain to your left). Cross the street (“Röntgenring”) at the traffic light and continue straight along “Kaiserstrasse” for about 100 meters. After passing a flower shop on your right, turn right into “Marcusstrasse” and walk for another 70 meters. We are situated in the white building on your right (the former Institute of Physical Chemistry, “Institut für Physikalische Chemie”). You can get to the lecture hall either through the foyer (up the stairs, this is the main entrance) or through the courtyard (use the side entrance located on your left).
By car
When arriving from the West (Autobahn 3, A3, Frankfurt), take the exit “Würzburg-Kist”. Head for Würzburg and follow the signposts to the main station (“Hauptbahnhof”). You will find a parking garage there. Follow the above directions from the station forecourt.
When arriving from the North (Autobahn 7, A7), take the exit “Würzburg Estenfeld”. Then take the expressway (B19) heading downtown. Follow the signposts to the main station (“Hauptbahnhof”). You will find a parking garage there. Follow the above directions from the station forecourt.
When arriving from the Southeast (Autobahn 3, A3), take the first exit after the motorway junction “Biebelrieder Kreuz” (the exit is called “Biebelried”). Then take “Nürnberger Strasse” (B8) toward Würzburg. Follow the signposts to the main station (“Hauptbahnhof”). You will find a parking garage there. Follow the above directions from the station forecourt.
When arriving from the South (Autobahn 7, A7), one option is to take the exit “Kitzingen” and drive toward Würzburg on “Nürnberger Strasse” (B8). Alternatively, you can change onto “Autobahn 3” (A3) at the junction “Biebelrieder Kreuz” in the direction of “Frankfurt”, take the next exit (“Biebelried”), and follow “Nürnberger Strasse” (B8) toward Würzburg. Either way will take you downtown where the main station (“Hauptbahnhof”) will be signposted. You will find a parking garage there. Then follow the above directions from the station forecourt.
