I am currently accepting bachelor’s and master’s students for thesis supervision
My research compares Pavlovian and instrumental fear conditioning, addressing a fundamental question: How do the mechanisms of fear learning differ between passive (Pavlovian) and active (instrumental) contexts?
Our first study used eye-tracking, and future work will integrate computational modeling and fMRI. I am particularly fascinated by reinforcement learning—how we form associations between cues, actions, and outcomes, and how we generalize what we have learned across different contexts.
