Junior keynote speaker Dr. Tino Endres at the EARLI SIG 6/7

12.12.2023

Dr. Tino Endres has been invited to be the junior keynote speaker at the Joint Special Interest Group Conference of EARLI SIG 6 (Instructional Design) and SIG 7 (Technology-Enhanced Learning and Instruction), which is held in Tübingen (August 21-23, 2024).

Instructional Design and Technology-Enhanced Learning: Current States and Future Perspectives

At the 2024 edition of the joint EARLI SIG 6 and 7 conference, Dr Tino Endres will hold a keynote speech on "When (Not) to Use Retrieval Practice - Potentials and Limitations of the Testing Effect in Applied Learning Contexts".

SIG 6, Instructional Design, brings together researchers concerned with the design and development of learning environments, ranging from conventional classrooms to highly sophisticated virtual reality environments. The central question addressed by the SIG Instructional Design is the relationship between the different characteristics and perspectives of such environments and learning processes and outcomes [ref.].

SIG 7, Technology-Enhanced Learning and Instruction addresses issues related to technology-enhanced and technology-based learning and teaching. This includes computer-supported learning, e-learning, computer-supported collaborative learning or the design and evaluation of multimedia and hypermedia learning. The target contexts are learning scenarios in schools, universities, the corporate world and informal learning scenarios [ref.].

The conference will start on Wednesday, August 21st, and end on Friday, August 23rd.
