Dr. Marina Klimovich and Dr. Lea Nemeth, who are working on the research projects "Interleaved Learning with Verbal Materials" and "Learning Subtraction Strategies with Interleaved Practice", have joined the coordination project.

Prof. Dr. Veit Kubik has taken up a professorship in the Department of Education and Psychology at the University of Berlin. Consequently, he is leaving the coordination project. We warmly congratulate Veit on his new position, thank him for his valuable contributions to the project, and wish him all the best for his future work.

Dr. Anita Körner joins the project "The testing effect and the complexity of the learning material: The adequacy of the knowledge base as a moderator?", led by Prof. Dr. Ralf Rummer (University of Kassel) and Prof. Dr. Judith Schweppe (University of Erfurt).

Dr. Sarah Glim, a member of the research group "The testing effect and the complexity of the learning material: The adequacy of the knowledge base as a moderator?", has recently left the project, led by Prof. Dr. Ralf Rummer and Prof. Dr. Judith Schweppe. The 5th meeting of the DFG Research Unit 'Lasting Learning: Cognitive Mechanisms and Instructional Implementation' (FOR 5254) was held at the Department of Psychology IV at the University of Würzburg.

Congratulations to Dwayne Lieck: At the SIG 6&7 of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI) he won the Junior Researcher Award for 'no-or-not-so-perfect data presentation'. Very well done!

Johanna Bohm, a PhD student in the research group "Lasting Learning in Physics by Constructive Retrieval", has recently left the project, led by Prof. Dr. Alexander Renkl and Prof. Dr. Claudia von Aufschnaiter. PhD student Anne Ludwig joins the project "Promoting lasting learning by combining spacing with worked examples", led by Prof. Dr. Mirjam Ebersbach (University of Kassel, Department of Developmental Psychology).

The meeting of the DFG-Research Group took place on December 11th, 2023.

Dr. Tino Endres has been invited to be the junior keynote speaker at the Joint Special Interest Group Conference of EARLI SIG 6 (Instructional Design) and SIG 7 (Technology-Enhanced Learning and Instruction), which is held in Tübingen (August 21-23, 2024).

The poster titled "Does constructive retrieval enhance lasting learning of complex material in physics? ", presented by the authors Johanna Bohm, Tino Endres, Claudia von Aufschnaiter, Andreas Vorholzer, Alexander Eitel, Alexander Renkl was awarded with a poster prize at JURE2023, The 27th Annual JURE Conference for Research on Learning and Instruction, 20-21 August 2023 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
