We are pleased to announce that Tino Endres, Veit Kubik, Kenneth Koslowski, Florian Hahne and Alexander Renkl published the paper "Immediate learning benefits of retrieval tasks: On the role of self-regulated relearning, metacognition, and motivation" in the German Journal of Developmental and Educational Psychology.

The WIASLL 2023 provided a unique learning environment and platform for scientific exchange for doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers from psychology, education and the learning sciences working on the topic of lasting learning. The Autumn School took place from 9 to 13 October at the University of Würzburg, Germany.

The poster titled "Does constructive retrieval enhance lasting learning of complex material in physics? ", presented by the authors Johanna Bohm, Tino Endres, Claudia von Aufschnaiter, Andreas Vorholzer, Alexander Eitel, Alexander Renkl was awarded with a poster prize at JURE2023, The 27th Annual JURE Conference for Research on Learning and Instruction, 20-21 August 2023 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

On the relationship between Research on retrieval practice and generative learning using the case of follow‑up learning tasks" by Julian Roelle, Tino Endres, Roman Abel, Niklas Obergassel, Matthias Nückles and Alexander Renkl was published in the Educational Psychology Review in August 2023.

In recent years, Open Sciencea has become a central part of good scientific practice. The aim of Open Science is to make scientific processes more transparent and sustainable, and to prevent questionable scientific practices (such as p-hacking or HARKing). The Open Science workshop took place on the 7th and 14th of March 2023.
