Immersion and fear in virtual altitude exposure

Exposure therapy in virtual reality uses anxiety-related virtual environments for therapeutic confrontations. Virtual reality offers the possibility to adapt the presented virtual environment at will. In the present project, the influence of VR system properties on the fear experience should be investigated by means of an immersion manipulation (presentation of wind via ventilators).
