Department of Psychology IV

In teaching, we represent Educational Psychology in the B.Sc./M.Sc. Psychology programs, in the M.Sc. program Psychology of Digital Media, as well as in the study track Psychology with a focus on school psychology, which can be taken as part of teacher-training studies at the University of Würzburg beginning in the Winter semester 2025/2026. In addition, we provide all teacher-training students in the five teacher-training programs offered at the University of Würzburg with an extensive range of psychology courses tailored to the requirements of the teaching profession.

In our research, we are concerned with fundamental and applied topics of Educational Psychology. The primary emphasis of our research is on cognitive foundations of learning, language and text comprehension, reading skills, cognitive development, learning disorders, giftedness, and psychological assessment and intervention in education.
